Vendors of hardware and software actively involved in the High Performance Market offering solutions for Industry and Research are welcomed. In addition, we welcome those concerned with products and applications offered by vendors for solutions in highspeed networking issues, system software & tools, engineering, commercial use, visualization, datamanagement, system integration and the WWW as well as services.
The conference will be held in the buildings of the University of Amsterdam located in the Science and Technology Centre Watergraafsmeer (WTCW) situated at Kruislaan 403-409.
The easiest connection to the venue is by tram 9 from Central Station to Watergraafsmeer. Get off at tramstop Middenweg/Kruislaan where a shuttle service will be available in the morning till 10h45. In the afternoon there will be a shuttle back to the same point, on Monday between 17h30 and 20h10, on Tuesday from 16h00 till 18h45 and on Wednesday from 12h00 till 14h45. On Tuesday there will also be a connection to the best tramstop for those going to the conference dinner. All participants will receive a free public transport ticket for the three days when registering.

Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is a small city by European standards
(population 750.000) but one of the most charming and delightful towns of
Europe. It possesses the largest historical inner city of Europe with beautiful
monumental buildings and an extensive web of canals. The city can be easily
explored on foot: museums, theatres, shopping streets, monuments, open air
markets and most other features of interest are generally within walking
distance from one another. The city is famous for its 17th century canals;
a boat trip along the canals, is a very special experience made by more than
2 million tourists yearly. Amsterdam is also one of the leading cultural
centres of Europe, with a high concentration of famous museums, for example,
the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank
House. The Rijksmuseum has a large collection of old Dutch masters, including
of course many Rembrandts, Vermeers, Steens etc. The Van Gogh museum and
the Stedelijk Museum harbor top collections of not only impressionists but
also contemporary art. Other touristic attractions include the Diamantslijperijen
(diamond cutting establishments) and The Rembrandt House.
Schiphol International Airport, located about 15 kilometres (10 miles) from
the centre of Amsterdam, has direct scheduled connections to many cities
in the world. Since Schiphol railway station is located in the arrival/departure
building of the airport, the centre of Amsterdam can be reached easily by
train in approximately 15-20 minutes (costs: approximately DFL 6,50). Taxi
service is also available (costs: approximately DFL 60,-). KLM-shuttle buses
leave the arrival building regularly for different hotels in the city (DFL
17,50 one way). Amsterdam is also conveniently linked to many European cities
by rail, and The Netherlands has an excellent network of highways that connect
with all the major trans-European routes.
