Remote Network Access
The SSH program is installed on all Solaris, Linux and Windows systems.
It provides a secure way to connect to the faculty servers (all data
sent over the network is encrypted).
On Solaris and Linux system the ssh program is invoked by typing "ssh" on
the command line.
On Windows systems the SSH program can be accessed through an icon on
your desktop.
We strongly reccomend to use ssh/scp/sftp instead of less safe options like telnet/rcp/ftp
(for connections over the internet these options are disabled anyway).
