The MMIS research lab of the Informatics Institute supports the master program MMIS. The MMIS research lab
consists of the sections Intelligent Sensory Information Systems (ISIS) and Intelligent Autonomous Systems (IAS):
Goals:
- The graduate has an understanding of the most important scientific research in the field of the program.
- The graduate has the capabilities to contribute to the scientific research in the field of the program.
- The graduate can solve problems with the aid of abstraction and modelling.
- The graduate can describe the solutions in both general terms and at a technical/mathematical level.
- The graduate can express herself/himself clearly both in writing and in speaking.
Final requirements:
- The graduate has a thorough knowledge of algorithms and data structures,
computer and network architecture, operating systems, programming and software engineering,
databases, multimedia, computational methods and techniques, intelligent and autonomous systems
and expert systems
- The graduate can analyse, design and develop within an team;
she/he can express herself/himself clearly both in writing and in speaking.
- The graduate has thought about the
social aspects of doing research in general and the use of computer science in particular.
