AIR Resource Scheduling and Usage Tracking for 2005


The purpose of this page is to track the scheduling and usage of the resources from the AIR-Group, notably the Van Gogh and Rembrandt clusters and associated network resources.

Scheduling period

The time period we are covering in this page is from Apr. 1 2005 to the end of the year.
In particular we are interesting in the usage during the two main events of the year: iGrid2005 and SC2005:

There are two clusters that can be reserved:

Network equipment

There are two network switches, with the following 10GE ports:
The available ports for host connections are as of Jun.1 2005:

Conditions

Please note that usage of our resources is bound to conditions you must agree with:

Lightpath requests need to be send to: netmaster-optical<at>surfnet.nl

Priorities


100 = our group
90 = groups we work with toward a publication
80 = groups or organizations we have a funding relation with (SURFnet, NextGrid)
70 = groups on science park we collaborate with (SARA, NIKHEF)
60 = groups not on science park we collaborate with (OptIPuter, NORTEL, DAS3, etc.)
50 = organisations we push, work with or develop (GLIF, Gloriad, GN2, etc)
10 = rest.

Note that if higher priority request come up this can be re-arranged.
