SC|06 SNE Demos
This page contains the list of demonstrations the SNE group will present at SC|06.
SC|06 will be held in Tampa, FL, USA between Nov.11 and Nov.17 2006.
Sure demonstrations:
- Workflow driven Lightpath Authorization within a Multi-domain GMPLS network using Tokens.
- NDL demo
Possible demonstrations, that we might want to consider:
- Demo with Nortel: on VMTurnTable
- Demo with DRAGON: on NDL as base for AST (application specific topologies)
- Demo with Myrinet: on traffic engineering within Starplane
- Additional demo efforts with DRAGON showing incorporation of token based authorization.
Involvement:
Demo 1:
Leon Gommans, Marten Hoekstra, Li Xu, Fred Wan.
Demo 2:
Jeroen van der Ham, Paola Grosso, SARA
NDL demo
Key message
This demo wants to show how NDL, and the semantic web tecniques associated to it, aid the path finding and provisioning in a multi-domain environment.
Scenario
We will use the NDL files that describe the various GOLEs (the GLIF Open Lightpath Exchange):
- a visitor to the booth (i.e. client) inquires about the existence of a path in the GLIF;
- the client sees how the path finding algorithm navigates through the information stored at different GOLE;
- the client obtains an answer on whether the path exists and can be provisioned;
- the path is shown on the GLIF world map using one of the being-developed visualization tools;
Workflow driven Lightpath Authorization within a Multi-Domain GMPLS Network using Tokens
Key message
This demo shows how an authorization workflow can be established by using the
UvA Generic AAA toolkit within a multi-domain GMPLS network involving a flexible scheduler.
Scenario
Using a demo station (monitor 1 on PC), a poster and a rolling slide show (monitor 2 on Mac Mini), the demo will:
- show the network topology
- show the functional components
- animate the message flow between requestor, AAA server and GMPLS network.
- show position of a token within the message flow and its rationale (temporal separation of authorization from usage).
- show the toolkit capability to graphically create an authorization workflow incorporating authentication, a scheduler and the GMPLS network.
- demo to the more interested people the dynamic creation of an authorization workflow and its subsequent operation.
(note: scenario may change as project evolves)
