GMPLS Interface Switching Capability

An Interface Switching Capability is defined for each interface in the dataplane. The value is advertised as part of the Interface Switching Capability Descriptor (ISCD) attribute (sub-TLV) of a TE interface.

Interface Switching Capability Types:

• PSC - Packet Switch Capable
• L2SC - Layer 2 Switch Capable
• TDM - Time Division Multiplex capable
• LSC - Lambda Switch Capable
• FSC - Fiber Switch Capable

The above types are also used to identify regions.
