the International High School Bicycle Project Web Page
Some of the best ways that kids
can learn is through the use of visualization and concrete examples.
The International High School Bicycle Project is one example that uses the bicycle as a means to teach
physics, math, communication skills and international relations. The project also enables high school
kids to use their imagination in creating a bicycle and making improvements on protective safety equipment. In addition, the lesson plans integrate the teaching of social and economic issues regarding the bicycle in the United States and in numerous European countries. Thanks to the internet and the world wide web, high school kids will be able to compare results, new policies, and creations with neighboring high schools in the US and several designated European high schools. We hope that the list of schools will grow as this project evolves and encourage active participation from students and teachers.
