Personal information
Louis O. Hertzberger received the Master's degree in experimental physics in
1969 and the Ph.D. in 1975, both from the University of Amsterdam.
From 1969 till 1983 he was a staff member in the High Energy Physics group,
later the NIKHEF-H (Dutch Institute for Nuclear and High Energy Physics). In
1983 he was appointed as professor in Computer Science. His current research
interests are in the field of parallel computing, intelligent autonomous
robotics and their application in industrial automation.
