The research of the HCM cluster is characterized by the application of modern spectroscopic, microscopic and magnetotransport probes to investigate the electronic, magnetic and optoelectronic properties of novel quantum materials.
Semiconductor nanocrystals, topological insulators, transition metal oxides and unconventional superconductors are the main systems studied, also with an eye to potential applications in nanophotovoltaics and low-energy spintronics.
