Summer Workshops

This summer the Center for Mathematical Physics of the University of Amsterdam organizes the following informal summer workshops:

• Low-D Quantum Condensed Matter 2009, July 6 - July 11
  (Organizers: J.-S. Caux, A.M.M. Pruisken, K. Schoutens)
• String Theory Workshop 2010, June 28 - July 9
  (Organizers: Jan de Boer, Kostas Skenderis, Marika Taylor, Jan Pieter van der Schaar, Stefan Vandoren, Erik Verlinde)

The main purpose of the Amsterdam Summer Workshops is to create an interactive atmosphere with emphasis on discussions and collaborations.

Although participation is on the basis of invitation, everyone is free to attend the lectures and discussion sessions.

The workshop is supported by the CMPA grant of the University of Amsterdam, the programme "String theory and quantum gravity" of the Stichting FOM, and a Pionier grant of NWO.
