The Laboratory for Crystallography participates in the van 't Hoff Institue for Molecular Sciences, one of the research institutes in the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Amsterdam.
In the Laboratory for Crystallography (UvA) specialist knowledge and advanced X-ray diffraction equipment is available to analyze solid-state (crystalline) material. Major activities are:

The last decade our main research is focussed on the determination of crystal structures from powder diffraction data (SDPD), both on improving existing methods as on developing new methods. As a result our laboratory is one of the leading sdpd experts in the world in this field. Our research is concentrated on the structural aspects of fats like cocoa butter.
We are offering our expertise for all your questions in the field of crystallography. We can determine the crystal structure of your single-crystals.
Whenever you have problems getting single-crystals we are more than willing to try to determine your crystal structure from powder diffraction data.
