ObjectiveThe European (ITEA) project "Ambience: Context Aware Environments for Ambient Services" aims at the development of methods for intelligent (home, office) environments. Within this context we contribute to the development of 'intelligent interactive platform': a platform which perceives and acts within an intelligent environment. The system can be used as 'personal assistant', where the aspect of `natural' man-machine interaction with speech and 'facial expressions' and 'body language' is very important for awareness and 'telepresence' tasks.Research group membersdr. ir.
