Perception
To develop goal-directed behaviour, an autonomous system
should be able to perceive its environment. Our group has concentrated its
research in the past on visual information, in particular for robot eye-hand
coordination and visual navigation. Autonomous systems should be able to
operate in dynamic environments with humans and other mobile systems present.
To create awareness of such environments, analysis of colour image sequences is
essential for localization, to track multiple objects and to detect and analyse
object motion.
