One of the challenges in Scanning Probe Microscopy of molecules is to unambiguously elucidate molecular processes, reaction and interaction with surfaces on local scale. This requires advanced types of scanning probe microscopies, e.g. liquid and fluid cells, and special probes. Here I will give an overview on our current activities, regarding imaging and spectroscopy of surfaces in non-polar solvents, aggregation and reaction of organic macromolecules, and protein nucleic acid complexes.
