Staff members of the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences are involved in courses for Bachelor students in a variety of fields, ranging from bio-molecules to cell biology and from human physiology and to psychobiology.

The institute has expertise in a.o. brain research, plant biology, microbiology, cell biology, gene activity and bio-informatics, which means that students have a wide range of options with regards to their curriculum. Thus, SILS contributes to a multitude of Bachelor programs within the University of Amsterdam.
